Report: Yandex said in talks to acquire grocery chain Azbuka Vkusa

MOSCOW, Jun 11 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet company Yandex is holding negotiations to acquire grocery chain Azbuka Vkusa, online edition The Bell reported late on Thursday, quoting sources.

A source said the deal’s aim is in the synergy of Azbuka Vkusa with Yandex’s food delivery service Yandex.Lavka.

The deal will also reduce purchasing prices for the service thanks to the merger of purchasing with the retailer.

Neither Yandex nor Azbuka Vkusa commented on the matter.
